Professional triathlete position:

We’re a successful, small company with 5 triathletes based out of Louisville, KY. We’re growing rapidly, undergoing an expansion. We’re looking for athletes to help play a part--being an architect of our growth. We have a talented group of athletes nationwide. In 2014 our 5 professional athletes have accounted for:

• 24 - Top 10 finishes
• 12 - Top 5 finishes
• 3 - Ironman run course records
• 1 - Ironman course record
• 2 - Ironman champions
• 1 - Pro Ironman 70.3 Worlds qualifier
• 1 - Pro Kona qualifier

This opening is not because someone quit, but rather it’s an addition created due to our expanding growth. We’re looking to add to the marketing of our successful company which has been in business for two years. Your duties will be to promote the various facets of our operation to business clients both here in the U.S. and around the world through brand promotion. A big part of your job will be assisting in the development and execution of marketing activities. You’ll be instrumental in developing and managing our marketing programs, marketing materials, etc. You must have great communication skills and you must be competent and professional.

Responsibilities-Minimum requirements

• Race a minimum of 7 triathlon races during the contract period. 5 of the 7 must be Ironman, Ironman 70.3, 5150, Challenge Family, LifeTime Fitness, Wildflower, Alcatraz, ITU/WTS, etc.
• Attend a minimum of 1 Junior/Youth Maverick Multisport practice per year in Louisville KY or attend a race where the Junior team is participating (i.e. YE/JE Nationals, Junior Elite Cup, Clermont Draft Legal Challenge, etc.) as part of the mentor program and advise junior coaching staff prior.
• Must demonstrate professionalism towards race staff, volunteers, media, other athletes and spectators.
• Attend the Elite team preseason camp in Louisville KY during the first part of January 2015, 3-4 days in duration, food and lodging provided.

Marketing Effectiveness:

• Increase the effectiveness and efficiency of our marketing efforts.
• Drive initiatives in the management team and organizationally that contribute to increasing sales for our team partners.

Qualifications:

• Excellent computer skills (must be active on social media and have or be in process of website development or be open to working with our current company in launching one prior to 2015)
• Excellent communication skills both verbal and written
• Demonstrated leadership and vision
• A demonstrated commitment to high professional ethical standards
• Ability to challenge and debate issues of importance to the organization
• Persuasive with details and facts

Pay: commensurate with experience.
