Marketing Manager

Ludus Tours is a travel and hospitality company focused on some of the world’s

biggest and best events, including the London Summer Games. We pride

Marketing Manager

Ludus is looking for someone our team as Marketing Manager. This role will be

responsible for cultivating our existing relationships with National Federations

and other sports groups. The Marketing Manager will be responsible for

generating at least $1 million in sales from their existing account. The key

objective of the Marketing Manager will be to bring these relationships to the next

level.

Key Objectives for Next Two Years

1. Build a successful marketing and sales strategy with existing relationships

by London 2012 that will generate $1 million in new business.

2. Is able to have 100% of partner portfolio come back and use our services

after London 2012.

3. Is able to use existing knowledge and contacts to drive at least $250k in

new business for London 2012.

4. Enhance Ludus brand and customer service strategy with clients. Wow

our clients at every level.

Responsibilities

- Service and leverage existing relationships into high performance

programs that are driving revenues and increasing exposure.

- Principal contact for multiple accounts and is communicating on more than

a weekly basis and continually leveraging these relationships.

- Looking for new ways to bring not only innovation to the organization, but

also new revenue streams.

Qualifications/Experience

- 4+ years in the sports and/or hospitality industry.

- Direct experience in marketing campaigns and various sales strategies.

- Experience and contacts within the Olympic industry are both valued and

understanding of how National Governing Bodies (NGBs) run on a daily

basis is necessary.

- Computer literate and able to adapt to new programs that will be required

(i.e. salesforce.com).

- Must be organized and be able to write and deliver goals on a weekly,

monthly and quarterly basis.

- Self-motivated and flexible.

- Experience working under pressure in high-pressure situations and

events.

- Excellent multi-tasker and ability to set daily to-do lists and accomplish

them.

They candidate will be innovative with a sales driven attitude and a customer

service charm. Long hours and time at the office may be required. If you are

looking for a 9-5 job, this probably is not the right fit.

The candidate will be an excellent communicator who is not afraid to pick up the

phone on a daily basis to check in with her clients or to cold call potential new

clients.

Team. While the candidate may be required to work stretches on their own, the

ability to be a part of a team is vital to the success of this role. The candidate will

want to work in a team environment and live and understand the five core values

Sales Director

Sales Director

Ludus is looking for a Sales Director. This role will be responsible for creating

new sales opportunities, refining the company’s sales strategy and building out a

sales team in 2011. The Sales Director will be a hunter. They will generate at

least $1.5 million in sales by 2012 from their own leads/ideas/contacts, etc.

Key Objectives for Next Two Years

1. Build a successful sales strategy and individually bring in at least $1.5

million in ‘new’ revenue.

2. Seek out new opportunities using untapped areas of potential as well as

existing contacts.

3. Land one large ($500k) corporate or incentive client.

4. Enhance Ludus brand and customer service strategy with clients. Wow

our clients at every level.

Responsibilities

- Develop a sales process and strategy for the company that will include

recruiting and managing a sales team of 2+ salespeople by the end of

2011.

- Individually increase revenue overall by at least $1.5 million by 2012.

- Manage overall sales portfolio and work directly with Operations

Department in order to ensure products are being delivered.

- Seek new ways to bring not only innovation and new ideas to the

organization, but also new revenue streams (i.e. new events).

Qualifications/Experience

- 6+ years in the sports and/or hospitality industry. Direct experience

managing others is a plus.

- Experience in developing sales strategies and presentations (i.e.

PowerPoint, etc.) for accounts up to $1 million.

- Sales Director will use CRM (Salesforce.com) on a daily basis.

Experience using Force is preferred.

- Polished sales experience with corporate hospitality, sponsorship or other

sports properties that exceed $250k per deal.

- Ability to close deals and a certain sense of fearlessness is needed. Cold

calling will absolutely be part of the position. If you’re waiting for your

phone to ring off the hook, it won’t.

- Self-motivated and flexible.

- Knowledge and contacts within the Olympic and/or sports industry are

extremely valuable.

- Must be extremely organized and be able to write and deliver goals on a

weekly, monthly and quarterly basis. Must have ability to set daily to-do

lists and accomplish them.
