I'm sure lots of us ST'ers would love to help but Shimano doesnt do bb30. For their road stuff it is all still the hollowtech II 24mm diameter spindles.

To run a shimano crank in bb30 you would need an adapter set or an adapter bb. Or are you just looking for a bb30 crank with 172.5 arms that will work with a shimano drivetrain?

I looked at my bottom bracket and it says
Sm-bb6700. Does that mean it has an adapter?

No... it means it's not BB30. You have a Shimano BB... which is Hollowtech II. 24mm spindle.

Why do you think you need a BB30 crank??

Donzo98 is Correct, that number would indicate your frame uses a BSA threaded bottom bracket. You're not limited much in terms of what you can run crank wise, but if it does use a threaded Bb, no bb30 crank will fit unless it is a crank with an elongated spindle, and you would then need to get a different bottom bracket.

Ok maybe yal can help me identify what I need. I currently have a carbon FSA crank and I am wanting to go power meter. I was thinking stages power arm but the right stages crank arm is hard to come by. If I was wanting Stages power what would I need to as far as buying another crank?

I'm not a stages fan, but your only option to match your current cran would be the energy mega Exo. Stages doesn't have a carbon option for you as just an arm. You could get a bb386evo carbon model but you'd need the whole crank and a new bottom bracket.

Ok so could I just get a Shimano crank and then a shimano stages arm? Because the original crank was Ultegra and I switched it out for the Carbon fsa team issue.

i'd recommend pretty much any powermeter over stages. Power2max, pioneer, powertap, watteam powerbeat, quarq, srm (costly), infocrank (also costly), rotor units, garmin vactor, tempo unit when its available. I know there are others that like stages, but I have yet personally see one come within 12% of the values from other powermeters. Almost every stages owner I know personally is on their 2nd or 3rd unit and often still has issues. HOWEVER for as many cases that I've encountered that the units functioned poorly or needed to be returned there are just as many whom have not had issues and not had to return them. It does make me wonder if those owners just dont have anything else to compare to though.

No, none of the sram gxp cranks fit hollowtech II specs. Gxp is 22mm spindle, hollowtech II is 24mm. You would need to get a gxp English threaded bottom bracket in order for it to work.

It shouldn't be that big of a deal, you could swap the crank and BB in less than 5 minutes and gxp bottom brackets can be found cheap. Shouldn't be too hard To find one under $20
