WTB: your old dual-suspension xc race bike
Quote | Reply
I am about to build a new all-purpose bike and I'm counting on some of you having as many extra bikes around as I do. The particulars:
1. 100mm suspension, front and rear, 29er
2. carbon fiber frame
3. Tapered head tube
4. would prefer a threaded bottom bracket and 135mm QR rear spacing and if there is a front fork, a 15mm thru axle front hub. However, I will deal with press fit bb and rear thru-axle if I must.
5. I can do a frame with fork, frame without fork or a complete bike.
6. I'm in SoCal (Hi-Desert) for pick up or I will pay you to ship via shipbikes.com.

I would imagine I am going to see bikes in the 2012-2017 range with these specs. The perfect situation would be a 29er dual suspension frame with no front fork since I am going to build it up with drop bars and a 27.5 fork that I already have. If you have a complete bike I will probably take off the stuff and put it on another frame, so I can deal with that.

I just parted with my Specialized fat bike so I could start this project, so let me know if any of you have something that might work. Upper limit for a complete bike is $1500.
