Many are re-stickering pre-2002 wheels with new sticker kits and not putting it in their descriptions.
Contact the sellers, read the feeback and make sure you are getting what you "think" you are bidding on.
So what's the best way to check and make sure the seller is telling the truth about the year?
Look at the hubs...
2002 and newer will be chrome with carbon dust caps.
There are other differences year to year, but that one if the most noteable.
Zipp has info on all the different vintages on their website, but not sure if they contain pictures.
Good luck, bid safe.
There are (2) older 404 sets on right now with 2002 and 2003 sticker kits.
Also make sure you are getting tubies or clinchers.
I've seen a number of mis-marked wheels go buy.
Tubies always have a carbon rim.
Cinchers will have the chrome colored aluminum rim.
I just saw Napoleon Dynamite for the first time....GREAT movie!
I know I'll be buying the DVD...we need more films like that.
