Virtual century camp day 1
Day 1 totals:

Run 13.5 miles, 2:20 time = 54 pts.

Aah, my first outdoor tempo run of the year -- ouch! Good thing it was only a 10k tempo -- nice cruiser pace under gray skies following.

good luck all epicers!

all right campers, here you go: total for day 1 = 106 points

run #1: 7 = 28 pts

swim: 4400 = 44 pts

bike: 22 = 22 pts

run #2: 3 = 12 pts

i'm pretty sure that adds up correctly (i spent a good amount of my ride figuring it out, then re-figuring it just to be sure). i'll be back tomorrow to report. thanks,

Not that my mileage would compare to many participants, but these camps seem to be timed perfectly to coincide with my pre-competition semi-tapers. Next week I have a time trial on Tuesday, a 1/2 marathon on Saturday, and a hilly (and typically fast) metric on Sunday. But in the spirit of fun:

Day 1

Rode 42 miles = 42 pts.

Why aren't you playing along? I'm sure your totals even on an "off" week would be quite impressive to most of us on the forum. I'll be doing good to post 250 points over the 5 days. That's my goal, but I'm not sure I'll get there, especially with Sunday being Easter. But I'll wind up doing more over these 5 days than I would over a typical 5 day period.

I'm not playing this time as well. As I'm starting a big block again this Sat through next sunday.

Wed:
An medium endurance ride with some threshold work in the middle. 35 points

I've got in an easy run so far today, and was hoping to do a training crit tonight, but the rain is rolling in - so probably some intervals on the trainer tonight.
