This is a really well loved, rarely used Zipp 404 dimpled rim built on an AmClassic Campy hub with black Sapim CXRay spokes. You can't buy a lighter Zipp 404 wheel than this combo, and the all black look is pretty cool.

I had this build by Jim McPherson, an expert wheel builder in the Bay Area, in February 2005. It was raced at Wildflower, Auburn, 1/2 Vineman and a couple local sprints, but that's it. It's mounted to a Vittoria Corsa KS slick tubular that has more miles on it than the wheel itself, as well as some rubber missing from the sidewall from removing it from one wheel and mounting it on this one. The hub has been upgraded since the recall, and is essentially perfect.

The Am Classic hub is currently Campy, but can be converted by your LBS to Shimano.
