FS: Cannondale CAAD4 58cm tri bike *SOLD*
Quote | Reply
A great starter tri bike. It was my first and I used it mostly for a few training rides but had to switch to a different geometry frame so it must go now.

Cannondale CAAD4 frame, R2000, 58cm, full Ultegra (9 speed) groupset (53/39 chainrings, 12/25 cassette), Rolf Vector wheels, Profile Design Split Second Al Aerobar, Selle Italia Gel saddle, and brand new bar tape, and speedy yellow color which makes you look at least 3 mph faster even when standing still. J

$450 OBO. + shipping (I'm in Atlanta if anyone wants local pickup) If it's local I'll take cash, otherwise I'll take Paypal.

Thanks,

Andrew

Hi, I am SERIOUSLY interested in buying this bike! One question, though (i'm a total newb, so please bear with me!): I'm 5'10 so i'm thinking a 54-56 frame is what i need, but do you think this one will be too big?

For what it's worth i'm willing to take your best guesstimate on that question. If it's just a matter of lowering the seat a bit, then i like the price for a beginner bike. email me back at paul (dot) brunson@gmail (dot) com

Thanks. PS I'm in Seattle, any idea what shipping costs will be?

I would go with a smaller frame if I was you. This has a fairly slack seat angle and a longish top tube. I'm 6'2" and it's a little long for me to get truly aero. If you got a Thompson forward seat post you might be able to get it to work, but I would just get a frame that fits your body better. If you have to err on one side for your early bikes I'd err on the side of smaller. It's easier to lengthen the cockpit and seat height than it is to try and shorten them up.

Good luck with your search.

Andrew

Still available? I am 6'3, how long of a stretch was it for you to get aero? What is the lowest you will go on this, I am new to the sport and I have my 4th baby coming in 2 weeks. I really don't want to make my family eat ramen for a year so that I can follow my new passion.

Sorry, it was just sold. Have to update the title.

It was not a stretch depending on how tight you like to be. I prefer a steep angle so for me it just didn't work out. But this sized bike with a slack angle would probably work for you depending on if you're leg long or torso long.
