Most well rounded Triathlete?
We always hear about the dominate bikers and runners (but never about the swimmers), but it always seems the best runner wins. Isn't it about time a very well rounded triathlete comes along? One that can swim 47:00, bike 4:35, and run 2:45. In every race it seems only one person can do at least one (maybe two), but not all three. I'd say LVL but he's too damn fragile.

Right now I think Tim DeBoom is the closest to these (a little off on the bike though). Clas can be if he improves his swim and bike, and Bjorn too if he gets his nutrition right and has a good build up on the run.

And I don't want to hear none of this 'Armstrong can' crap.

if you discard Hawaii that has it's own "rules" and difficulties...
several guys have done these times

LVL, Lothar Leder in Roth (LVL did it in Hawaii too)
Peter Reid did close to that in Austria (even with the correct run length, that'd be a 2h43' run)
Tim de Boom too...
put short course racing in the equation and you should add Lessing definitely, Macca, Miles Stewart etc.

After a protracted inquisition by the Tribunal of related Topics of the Supreme Hierarchy of Bikesport, Inc. we have reached a decision.

We think it was Dave Scott.

Short-course: Simon Lessing, there's no question about it!

Long-course: Luc van Lierde

I agree, Dave Scott never looked like he was running fast. On video he looked like he was running 8:45's not 6:45's.
