Really? The current in the swim of this race would nearly negate the advantage that really good swimmers have on the field.This. I’m a strong swimmer and the current is a bit unnerving. I watched a buoy go by and soared by at an alarming rate. You can’t get too close to them. You need some ability to prevent yourself from being swept off course.
Why do swimmers choose it? Because it is a fun course with a great atmosphere - and this is a hobby for most of us. Plus it is only 45 minutes from home. Nice to finally have a local venue. Cheers!
