Trainer intervals without ERG-mode
Hi,

I use Golden Cheetah (GC) and Rouvy for indoor training. I like to create my own structured workouts, but so far I have only managed to run them in ERG-mode. I could, of course, set the bike in slope mode, but then I don't see target powers vs. what I push etc.

Any suggestions for how to do this in GC or on any other platform?

How about the same way you’d do intervals outside? Just look at your wattage as you ride and listen to your body.

I would do it on a Garmin, Wahoo, Coros or whatever receiver/head unit you use.

What difference would it make if you dragged your trainer outside?

I know both zwift and trainer road will display both the target and your current power on the screen, even when you're using slope mode. Guess I would have thought both of those pieces of software would let you do so as well.

This. Plus helpful when these apps crash.

Thanks, I would have thought that worked in those apps as well. I just cant get it to work in Golden Cheetah, which is strange. Perhaps I need to change to Zwift then. What I really want is some like the attached image. Where I see the planned workout (and where I am in it), as well as my current and historic power.

This was recently discussed over here. Perhaps it's something that you could take a look at.
