Hawkins Cheezies.

Honestly - I don't know that there's anything super-duper-extra-cool here. Banff is expensive and touristy - but since you are tourists, it will be fun.

Life hack, throw them in the freezer for at least a few hours, they taste far 'cheezier'! What? No way! ;)

Tried it - did not understand the hype.

I don't like either. My kids seem to prefer Cheezies.

Cheezies are a Halloween favorite.

All dressed chips (much better than ketchup) Costco sells big bags of them for cheap.

Nanaimo Bars, more of a BC/Vancouver dessert. Cookie crumb base, vanilla type creamy fudge with chocolate on top.

Beaver tails are worth trying. Poutine too,, but only the good stuff with real curds. More of an Ottawa/ Quebec item. (Although I've found a good place in Windsor of all places)

Haven't read through all the comments but Canada is a big country. Some of the stuff on this list, I have no idea if you can get it out west or if it's any good out there.

Poutine from a food truck. theirs is always the best
ketchup chips
butter tarts
tortiere
montreal smoked meat (need to be in Montreal for this though)
donair (east coast)
also in late spring there's hodge-podge (east coast)
Toller is pretty tasty, I've gotten it a few times although I drink so little these days that when I do get something, I'll splurge and get something from the local brewery.

I'm excluding things like Smarties - to me those are English, but you can get them here.

Just bought these at Costco. Interesting but likely won’t get them again.
