Help need (cervelo p5)

So I recently bought a 2014 Cervelo P5 second hand I tried to adjust the Magura hydraulic brakes and ended up breaking The adjustment screw/plunger so now I need to replace the brake lever is it possible to use shimano hydraulic brake lever as Magura discontinued the rt8
Also if any of you kind people know where I could get a high mount for the cervelo p5

What did you break? it's possible to screw the screw into the cylinder too far - it pops out of the lever - but with a bit of fiddling it is possible to put it all back together............if you threaded something then you probably need a new lever - as you've discovered they are hard to get hold of.

I don't know about other hydraulic levers but a lot of people have replaced the brakes with tri rig or similar to avoid the hassle of the older gen hydraulics.

I bet the pad adjustment screw went in too far, it’s not broke.
The lever can come off and you can reinstall the adjustment screw.
The pic shows the max the adjustment screw should be at max position.
When the system is bled the adjustment screw gets backed out.


No other lever will work

Should be able to fine a high mount on eBay

I listed a set of Magura brake levers (new) in the classifieds if you can use them.
