Would really love if Marathon majors dropped the pacers/rabbits. This has been great.

41.1km and a pack of 4 fighting for silver. This will break down to an 800m track event.

LOL, no world record this time, but certainly a world record in dick moves from French "runner" Morhad Amdouni.

USA .....on the track ...... The downside is they never get to practice together. ..... a momentum race....you don't want to lose any momentum at handoff.

Excuse my selective editing, but what you said could easily be referring to the US cyclists in the madison last night.

You beat me to it, was just about to post this. Should be a DQ in my book.

Amen to that. Apologists are saying he was hot and tired - that his action was inadvertent. Complete BS. DQ should be the least of his penalties.

I wasn't really rooting for Hassan during her races but seeing her suffering after the 10K finish and her emotion during the 10K medal ceremony was surprisingly emotional to me. Congrats to her on her historic achievement!

Followed by an armchair quarter back WR in your post. It's km 30 with all the accumulated fatigue. Grabbing bottles at 3 min per km, guy has shared bottles with competitors at other aid stations, including with Kipchoge, there are several other tables full of bottles at the same aid station, you see no surprised looks at either the volunteer faces or his fellow competitors, but yeah let's give him a life time ban as other armchair quarter backs have said.

Interestingly the video isn’t at full speed so it looks worse than it is. There is also a full row of bottles in the back it’s not like he knocked the whole table over.

IMO the queen in athletics was Hassan. Thompson-Herah got 3 golds, Mc Laughlin smashed the 400m hurdles WR, Rojas broke the triple-jump WR (quite expected)...but running 3x1500m, 2x5000m and 1x10000m is just insane. What we saw in the 1500m preliminaries, falling down and overtaking all the girls was simply crazy...
By the way, is there an actual study about the gain with the magic shoes in the track? In the spanish TV, a former marathoner who is quite close to the Kipchoge´s squad commented that you can gain 3-4 seconds per kilometer in a marathon with the vaporflys and the other brands that are using carbon plate shoes...Also, not all the athletes , as he said, will benefit the same, as it depends on your running technique, footstep, weight, etc...

Spaniard. Sorry for my english for the sensitive ones :P
