Scam from a new member Tom55
This guy reached out to me about selling a titanium frame set. Didn't provide me any details on the frame other than repeat what I said in the WTB. But ask for $.

New user with 0 post. I can't help but wondering...

The interchange is one of the most strange I had on ST.

Me: Tom, just saw your msg from ST, What do you have?

Tom: Titanium road frame Rim size M

Me: great! Any details?

Tom: Good, how much are you offering for it?

Me: You didn't tell me anything about it. Sorry, but I will pass

I don’t understand the point of your post. And I mean that legitimately not in a “what is wrong with you kind of way.”

Are you warning us about a particular member? Or just posting a story for us to react to?

Scam. My guess is there is plenty of them using this board.
I received a message from a "new member" (registered the same day !) offering me what I posted in my ad.
I declined the offer, he had many other options to show me. Yeah ! Sure!
Beware.
Here he is:
forum name : Tom55
email: tomcarrison@gmail.com
And here's what a quick Google search reveals :

From what i gather, scam posts when you post a FS ad are fairly common in a watch group i belong to as well.

I've had many positive transactions with regular ST members, though.
