Oregon Covid scenario
I am planning to go to a race in Oregon in June. When I tried to book a hotel I got a two week quarantine warning. Before this month is over I should be fully vaccinated.

But what exactly are the rules regarding Covid as we speak?

Could be pretty likely, COVID is bad right now, but people are rapidly getting vaccinated. Also, Oregon has been one of the least impacted states by COVID (lower number of cases, much lower death rates), not sure exactly what the numbers are now, but saying COVID is bad in Oregon is relatively, yes it may have gotten worse of late, but it is still probably lower than most states.

I raced a three day gravel Omnium out in Bend this weekend and they were still able to have it even though Deschutes county is at "extreme" COVID level or something. There were two other gravel races out in the coast range this weekend that also happened.

What specific kind of race you are planning?

I did the same omnium, which is same event director that does Oregon Trail. Around the race I thought everyone was pretty responsible.

Right now the 7-day average in Deschutes County (pop 157k), where Bend is, is 81.

The good folks at USAUltra Tri were due to host the World Double Ultra Champ's at Henry Hagg Lake near Forest Grove in June but sadly, the very strict Covid guidelines meant that they couldn't host the race.Hopefully 2022 will be a go and they can host a truly international World Championships.

I am registered for the Old Cascadia 50 miler and I am now fully vaccinated. So I would not have to quarantine for 14 days and I am very helpful that they can pull it off. They seem to have it together with their Covid prep.
