Biking in Phoenix?
I’ll be in Phoenix for a day or two next month with my gravel bike. Any suggested rides/ paths? 30 miles total would be plenty. I’m fine with path, but comfortable with road. Looking for easy to follow and safe. I’m much more comfortable on busy roads in my hometown than on vacation.

What do you mean by "Phoenix?"

It's a big place, where will you be staying?

Lots of threads here if you search for:

Phoenix
Scottsdale.

However:

You should be more worried about eating 400 tacos from places that are called, or rhyme with, Los Bertos.
Priorities.

Enjoy the sun.

That is the question - flying into Vegas, hitting a few national parks, flying out of Phoenix. Lots of flexibility on where to stay, probably doing 2 nights. Myself and my sons (11 and 15). I’d like somewhere close to a good ride, but I’ll also balance with other things to do.

I’ll take that taco knowledge!

I wasn’t looking at Scottsdale threads - good advice. Lots to check out. Ultimately probably looking to stay somewhere near a path/ ride. Doesn’t have to be gravel per se, just somewhere I can get miles without worrying about traffic too much.

Anywhere in north Tempe (lake area) and Scottsdale would give you access to miles of bike/ped paths and bike lanes on smooth pavement. Lots of stuff to do for both kids and adults in both areas as well.

I'm partial to this area because I live close by, but it has endless miles of desert gravelish singletrack and is beautiful. Lots of lodging options in Scottsdale.

If looking for an easy to follow path with your gravel bike id go with the canal. Literally a straight path that goes under the road so never really have to stop or make any turns. There will be other bikers and runners but sounds like it would be perfect for what you are looking for.
