Did you grow up reading The Far Side? Then enjoy an animated version. I stumbled across this last night.

I would get a paper, turn to the comics and just read the Far Side before going back to the main section, business section and then sports in that order.

I was just talking with a colleague at work about the Sunday Comics section I used to read in the early 80's. I remember my parents getting 2 big Sunday papers, my mom would clip the coupons and I would read the comic section.

Ah, nostalgia, I love it.

I grew up reading calvin and hobbes in the 80's/90's.

I still find myself barking "this builds character!!" at my apprentices at work sometimes while doing something they find difficult or unpleasant, and find myself thinking of Calvin's dad.

Long Chile was a silly place.

Agreed. I quit watching during the first bit, which drug on forever.

Love the Far Side. I enjoy flipping through the FS compilation books. They've aged well.

They re-issued a 365 of the cartoons as a 2021 desk calendar. It brightens my morning every single day.

Back in the Mid 80s one of the Denver Museums had a Far Side Exhibit. My at the time GF spent a whole afternoon reading every single one on display. She was wearing her Shark Nerds Tee.

Which bit? I made it 10min and wish I would have quit after 4. It actually got worse as it went on. Gary needed a stronger opening.

The one with the elephant standing on the dude's head and him screaming in agony the whole time. Not funny IMO.
