You know about bikes, and I'd rather buy from you and give you some extra $$ to spend than buy a brand new bike on my budget for this and get a newer but less fun bike.

Preferably, your old bike is size 52 (can stretch this a bit but not much), carbon (flexible on this; it will be a fun-ride-only bike), Shimano 105s or better (can't skimp on everything), and you're looking to sell it for something reasonable (aka under $1k).

Ideally, you're within an hour's drive of Chicago's north side. Your bike will have a happy second life helping me keep up with my kids as we bike on trails in the area and throughout the US.
