Which Gear Aid for Lycra Speedsuit repair: Iron Mend or Tenacious Tape?
I think I've narrowed down these two Gear Aid products as the best possible ways to fix a small tear near the shoulder seam on a tri-top. Has anyone used either Iron Mend (now 'Tenacious Tape Neoprene Patch"), or Tenacious Tape Flex Patches for such an application?

The intention is to stop further spreading of a small fabric hole.

I used IronMend to try to fix some nickel-sized wear holes in bib shorts (using a roughly silver dollar sized patch...so lots of olap). It didn't adhere well and was peeling off after 1-2 washes.

I've had great luck with it for wetsuit repairs, but for cycling wear...nope.
