What is your opinion about reuse of the quicklinks?

Not sure there's a limit for reuse of quick-link.
I have been using the same quick-link for years and only once had a failure. So I carry a spare in my flat kit when I ride outside just in case.
I wax my chain every month or so I would guess, no issues with reuse.

I'll differ with that. The conventional wisdom is that you want to discard the link when it becomes noticeably easier to close. That's for the links that are designed to snap tight when closed, like Shimano's and SRAM's quick links - those are technically rated as single use. The Wipperman Connex link is designed to need very little force to close, but the groove the pins slide in is curved so it shouldn't come loose when riding. That link has no manufacturer specified upper limit on the number of uses. The YBN links close pretty loosely. I haven't had one fall apart when riding. They're rated for 5 reuses. I think I've heard Adam Kerin say he gets as many as 10.
