Also, without an increase in taxes arent we on pace to defund just about everything?
Defund everything? No, that is just some crazy libtard commie pinko socialist fantasy. No, with all the awesome repub party covid relief that has been accomplshed, this will be coming soon to a corner near all of us ... I haven't finished reading the thread yet, but... these were the lines for the Dallas food bank this weekend... I guess they're sitting in cars, which seems to indicate at least a partial difference, but I don't think there's anyone who should be confused about the fact that a big chunk of the world views this picture in the exact same way as they view the one that you posted. It's a different era, but they both reflect a strikingly similar failure from a government. Basically, I don't think those lines are "coming soon to a corner near all of us"... I think they're already here for a shockingly large percentage of the country.
https://kvia.com/news/us-world/2020/11/16/thousands-of-cars-form-lines-to-collect-food-in-texas/ This is a stark representation of why lockdowns just don't work. How many of these people need food due to COVID 19 shut downs, job losses, economic downturn etc?
On the other hand, you could put it right next to a picture of the refrigeration trucks of deceased folks from Covid showing why some would say you have to lockdown.
There is no good answer and this demonstrates the damnable problem with it.
I have friends that are now in those lines seeking food after losing jobs, having no money and moving back in with parents ( family of 4 ) because the government told them their job was non-essential. Try taking that hit to your pride as a dad that can't support your family anymore.
2020 sucks...
