Actually more importantly. Or as importantly. If the side effects were endemic for all lipitor users the drug almost certainly wouldn't be licensed.

The key is that the drugs effective and the side effects are a fraction of the users.

True, because there is no money in It.
No chronic usage so every prescription is new.
It’s also very difficult to come up with new anti invectives.
When I sold Trovan, there were 15+ quinalones in late stage development and almost all flamed except for Levaquin.

And, there are plenty of other options to reduce LDL other than statins but statins have great evidence based data.

That's the thing. Why sell something that you sell for a week. Something someone takes long term is a much better deal.
