Wahoo Kickr 2018 Shafted - Literally
Hi,

Has anyone seen this sort of issue before with the 2018 Kickr and had any luck with warranty and/or getting a repair done. It is just over a year old and only been used since feb 2020.

Basically, the trainer started making a quite loud droning noise together with a vibration. When I picked up the trainer to move it, there was a pile of orange dust under it, I pull the flywheel off to find that the shaft had deteriorated really badly where the bearing inner races run. It is like it has not been lubricated from the factory. The bearing seem reasonable, so it is not seized bearings that have caused it.

Regards
Simon.

Did you check the FAQs on the website? Noise and vibration could be a result of improper set up.
