17 rallies between now and Monday evening

I've got to hand it to Trump, that is impressive. He was up tweeting nonsense at 3am last night as well.

I'm 43 years old, in decent shape, and the idea of that schedule terrifies me.

And his closing argument at each of them: "If I don't get re-elected, I'm never coming back here."

Suffer Well.

Preceded by his opening "I hate having to come here, hurry up"

He feeds off the adulation or he is coked up. Or both. As his voice goes south this weekend he will play that card for a sympathy vote from all the grandmas out there. Ah, poor Donny!

14 of those are going to be stops in Pennsylvania.

Biden better step it up here. (here being PA)

Really, people vote based on how many campaign stops are in your state? Didn't most folks already vote? Doesn't everyone already know who they are voting for?

Trump making speeches is the best thing Biden can do in Penn.

No but that is 14 more opportunities than his opponent.

That is 14 more crowds of people to speak in front of.

That is 14 more times to show you are fighting instead of hiding.

While its mostly his base and very few (if any) undecided voters, it speak volumes.

I think Trump will sneak Pennsylvania out because of this late push.

Dems can't think of what they want to hear or see, but what so much of rural and the working class wants to see and hear.

People are sick of the media, Trump is fighting it. People are sick of the lockdowns, Trump is fighting it.

I hope I am wrong.

I was born and raised in Rural Pennsyltucky and now live in the Democratic Peoples Republic of Philadelphia. People here in the city expect the candidates to come and say hello. They usually do.

People in Pennsyltucky have felt like the country has ignored them. When a candidate comes to your small town of 10,000 or 30,000 people it means a lot. It tells that, at the very least, the candidate remembers them.

Edit: I literally read about how he is dedicating the last three days to Pennsylvania and immediately thought about how it was such a brilliant move.

Biden's HQ is in Philadelphia. He should be able to get to the collar counties and show his face.

I don't know. If Biden wins big he's going to be praised for running one of the most disciplined campaigns ever. If he loses, his campaign pace is definitely going to be an issue. I am reasonably confident though that no-one who'd ever consider going to a political rally is open to changing their mind.

For reasons we can debate I think we can all agree that Trump has far more voters in his camp who'd want to see him at a rally, or drive their car in a convoy with their horns blaring, or hang dozens of enormous flags in their yard than Biden has in his.

Do these rallies actually help or hurt Trump? I don't think they hurt him. All the people who are going to the rally are already voting for him and then he gets on the news telling obvious lies and crazy conspiracy theories for everyone else to see.

Sure they feed his ego, but I say that The Donald is doing himself a lot more harm than good.

(As a sideline, do people who watch Fox know that there's been early voting, or will they all still have to vote on Tuesday?)

It feeds his ego. I don’t know that it does anymore than that. Nobody can be undecided at this point.

People that believe it's a good idea to hold large political rallies in the midst of an intensifying pandemic, are already voting for Trump. For anyone else, it reinforces the idea that Trump is a selfish, irrational imbecile.

These figures don't match this article in The Hill

It says 14 rallies in total, with 4 in PA. All four will be on Saturday.

Suffer Well.

The 17 I quoted counted this afternoon. No idea where 14 in PA came from.

Sorry, thought the article I had read stated 14 in PA. Honestly, it would be a really good move to do that. I was wrong.

My wife is trying to drag me to the rescheduled one from yesterday in Fayettenam on Monday. Told her I had better things to do like rearrange my sock drawer, take down the Halloween lights, put up the Christmas lights, feed the hogs, clean some guns, etc., etc., etc.

Eh, disagree.

I think many view this as how they view in it their mindset.

It still gives him opportunity, through local media, chatter, and general exposure. As dumb as it may be, Trump thinks he can get more votes and his campaign advisor is going with it so they see some value in it.

Will it win or lose him the election, maybe.
