The laptop is a refurb unit - but does have Bluetooth - but be darned if I can run Zwift reliably. It can do it, clumsily, as is but requires that Zwift companion app to connect, which of course, defeats the purpose of using the laptop.

You would not need the companion app if the laptop connected all your equipment via Bluetooth. I never use the companion app

I do not see why it would not run zwift reliably with everything connected via Bluetooth

Well, I screwed up.

Went out & bought the Google Pixel 4a.

It runs Zwift but will not connect via USB -C to my 99 dollar "bigscreen"

Back to the cell phone dealer.

FWIW- My computer has a glitch that has been preventing Zwift from launching. I bought a USB-C cord for my Galaxy Note 10 and connect to my TV. Works great as long as I have a charged phone.

Went to try it again last night.
  • Zwift on the laptop without the companion does not recognize the Tacx Bushido Trainer.
  • With companion it connects to the trainer but does nothing (no cadence or power).
  • The laptop won't recognize the non-smart TV via USB - C to HDMI but it will using the VGA port.

I still have to buy that plug in USB bluetooth device.
