My aero-road helmet has some light scratches. Nothing that would impact it's ability to protect my head (i haven't crashed it) but enough so that it's looking aged.

Does anyone have a suggestion for removing scratches from a matte black helmet? Some ideas i have are a Mr. Clean magic eraser, Meguires Ultimate Compound, Meguires ScratchX, 3M Headlight Restoration kit, or Meguires Ultimate Wax. I have all of those at home. I just don't want to do anything that would damage the helmet or make it look worse than it does.

I feel like the magic eraser is probably the safest place to start. Any reason not to give that a try?
