I want to see if one of my favourite triathlon couples can pull off a double win today with Ash Gentle and Josh Amberger racing together. Josh is doing Ironman Cairns in two weeks so this will make for a nice bust out of COVID-19 month.

For those who don't know about witsup.com,it is one of the female focused triathlon media outlets run by Stef Hanson in Melbourne.She is in lockdown and put a request out the other day for anyone who was going to be in Mooloolabah to help out.Luckily Welsh ITU athlete and Olympian Non Stanford stepped up and is helping with a very casual coverage of the womens race. Witsup is great fun and they get all kinds of awesome access to the female pro's and usually it ends up being pretty funny.

Sweet, I am watching it now! They actually put my wife's question up about Mooloolaba. lol

Full results are up now. 723 finishers this year from 754 starters. 2019 saw 1404 finishers from 1484 starters.

We are now two weeks out from Ironman Cairns and Ironman 70.3 Cairns. Based on SC numbers it looks like we will get a better turnout in Cairns than I had expected.

It was a great event, and well run and managed by IM under fairly difficult circumstances

They almost did it in Xiamen last November.
