2020 70.3 World Championship Deferral Options????
Anyone get an official email in regards to deferral options for the 2020 70.3 WC in Taupo? I assume we'll have the option to defer to St. George for 2021 or Taupo 2022 but haven't heard anything from IM after emailing several times.

Yes, but I also had to email WTC directly as I had not received any comms for the race since I qualified last December. Found out WTC had erroneously put me on the 'opt out of email comms' list...

Hope you can sort this out!

Thanks for the info, I emailed WTC again. So the options are to defer to St. George for 2021 or Taupo 2022 I assume?

The 17th is a Friday for St. G. I wonder if this is actually the date. I haven’t seen it in the site yet.

If I'm reading correctly, it looks like Ironman St.George and 70.3 St.George typically are scheduled on a Saturday.. maybe lack of things open on a Sunday in Utah? With a 2 day event they may be going Friday-Sat.. instead of Sat-Sun.

I emailed: worldchampionship70.3@ironman.com

They replied 8 days after my email.

Good luck!

Let’s get more attention to this conversation!!!

The transfer deadline is rapidly approaching and I would have missed it had I not looked at this thread on ST ... wasn’t paying attention to my emails when that one from WTC came through. For me transferring to St George next year actually works out much better than NZ!

Makes me wonder if people who fail to elect a transfer option will lose their slots or what??? Check your email people and select a choice before it’s too late and you have to requalify!

I would have missed the transfer deadline - thanks guys for bumping this thread.

Given that I'm in Canada, I opted for St. George instead of Taupo again.
