ah man - I was downtown for game 2 as well
I think we watched the game at the Commodore or something?

I was 28, my wife and I had just gotten married, still went drinking and partying lots (haha still had regular sex...) most of our friends lived downtown, etc...

I remember thinking - holy crap - they only need to win 2 of the next possible 5 games!
Especially the year after 2010, it just sort of seemed like destiny

Sounds like we were in the same boat! I was engaged, now married with kid and dog... No partying downtown anymore but at least the Canucks haven't given us reason to celebrate anything when we were busy with babies!

Long Chile was a silly place.

WTF NHL?

Why are Vegas Vancouver playing today? No rest between game 6 & 7?

Just turned on Avs-Stars game with 10 minutes to go in the third, crazy with three goals between both teams, including two in a ten-second span. This is awesome.

Demko played out of his mind tonight. Great to see the respect that the Knights all showed him in the line after the game.

He adds to the good young talent pool they already have in place, going to be a fun team to watch the next few years.

also - watching the game with my 4 year old and my 6 year old on my lap screaming and yelling at the TV was honestly one of my favorite sports memories of all time. We didnt win but im not sad at all - they did so much better than I expected and i'm super proud of them

now i'm going to pour another glass of bushmills and watch something where i'm not sad at the end :(

also x2 - love Shea Theadore from my hometown of Langley!

Same. I’m not good at embedding video either but here’s the link:

The other cool thing about the line was Demko and Tuch greeting each other. Former teammates/roommates at BC.

How about those Stars?
They need to keep their foot on Vegas's neck this time and not let them up like they did the Avs.

yeah - go stars

an "expansion team" shouldn't be able to make the finals 2 years out of 3

Khudobin has played well, hope they keep moving on.

Tampa looks scary good, picking where they left off in beating the Bruins by dominating the Islanders in Game 1 and then winning a wild one the other night in the final seconds of regulation. Such a solid team and doing all this without Stamkos. The one thing I don’t like about them is they have a few guys (Goodrow, Gourde, Paquette) that are punks.

Man. This is shaping up to be a great Cup final.

Outside the hardcore, will get limited attention.

But Dallas is relentless. And not bad for a back-up goalie and back-up coach. TB has no holes. I expect they finish off the Islanders. Will be high flying and hard nose.

They have been very resilient, another comeback tonight after being down 2-0 in the third. Fun team to watch.

I haven't heard anything about viewership of this year's playoff, and don't care to look it up. My guess is that it might be up with all the sports starved fans like me.

Yeah. Don't really care. Just noting Calgary v Tampa Bay was among the lowest rated past 20 years (Anaheim v. Ottawa was the worst, at least in terms of US viewership), but one of the best finals I can remember. Just 7 games of all out intensity. I loved Jarome Iginla.
