I was thinking about a little project putting my old G3 powertap hub on my Surly Long Haul Trucker to have a killer winter-time training bike. Problem is, the rear spacing on the Surly is 135mm - PowerTap is standard road bike,130mm. I've squeezed the frame to fit a 130mm road wheel in it but it's a pain to do.

Is it possible to swap the axle in a PowerTap G3 hub to a longer 135mm?
