Arthur & George, Julian Barnes, halfway thru, a proper procedural yarn in Victorian times, would make a great mini, hope it gets taken up

my book group's doing Blood Meridian next month, happy with the excuse to read it again

I love Blood Meridian. Have you ever read Suttree? If not I highly recommend it.

I am currently working my way through Less Than Nothing-Slavoj Zizek and a collection of stories by Chekov.

The Woman's Hour: The Great Fight to Win the Vote
by Elaine F. Weiss

Very good, though it makes one want to punch a bunch of southern white men.

For whatever reason I've been solely focused on non fiction the past decade or so but after hearing multiple sources talk about "The Overstory" (I don't want to share too much outside of it has a lot to do with trees...compelling..I know) I picked it up on a whim last week.

Long story short I get up 30 minutes early to ensure I have an hour of dedicated reading time every day and am making some solid progress on it. Fantastic book so far and very much what I needed with a lot of the theme being our impermanence.

Re-reading Hamilton after seeing it for the first time on Disney + over 4th of July weekend. I had read it about five years ago and really enjoyed it, and it’s fun now noticing some of the little things in the book that Lin-Manuel Miranda was able to incorporate into the show.

I joined a book club for the first time in my life and am reading 'Just Mercy' by Bryan Stevenson. Know it's not a new one, but it's been an eye opening one for me in many areas, especially with the discussion had with the group.

That is on my "to read" list. As is "Hamilton".

I’ve started reading Asterix to my little one. I need something light to read lately. Day in day out in Covid data makes you pretty pessimistic.

Dungeons and Dragons source books. Writing my own campaign and DMing for 5 friends once a week.

Completely wholesome, non-devil worshiping, fun.
