Just recently i saw a video where elastic laces were metioned as bad for your feet. They reccomended to use them during racing only and not during training. The reason they explained for this is that with elastic laces, the laces flex slightly during running alowing your feet to move around more in your shoes causing friction (blistering) and your feet are not supported as well as they would be with rigid laces, putting more strain on them. The latter was claimed to possibly cause feet injuries.
This made me wonder. Is training with elastic laces indeed increasing the risk of foot injury? What do you think?
