Tri Club near Medford NJ
Hi All,

I drove past PJ Wheelihans on Sunday (yesterday) and saw a ton of Tri-specific bikes/cars, etc. in the parking lot near Medford NJ. Someone mentioned a club name like "Tri56" or something like that but I cannot find them at all.

Anyone here part of a group that trains near Medford or know of the club that was there? I'd love to join them/find them.

Thanks!

J

Never heard of "Tri56", but you can get "RUN856" gear from runningco.com [South Jersey Running Co with shops in Haddonfield, Moorestown, Medford & Mullica Hill]; they may be affiliated

https://runningco.com/run-856/

Or check out D&Q, they may have some insight dandq.com

Tri856 is an offshoot of Run856 with I'm sure a lot of crossover.

They have a public FB page where you can check out all of their mask-less group pictures during their rides.

A lot of people that swim in Medford on the weekends use PJ's parking lot to start their rides.

Or Lenape HS on weeknights. I'd see them getting ready on my way home from work* - Tuesdays & Thursdays, I believe?

* Don't have to deal with THAT until sometime next year, from what we've been told

Everyone is parking at PJ's right now because after swimming at Camp Ockanickon (through ETA Coaching open water swims) we have to clear out of the Camp due to Covid-19 distancing. There are many clubs represented there because it is such a great OWS opportunity.

Nice riding around there too.

T3Philly has a bunch of folks (myself included) that frequent the OWS and run/bike as well!

The last time I was at Camp Ockanickon was when I was a kid and just about to be kicked out of the Boy Scouts for smoking

Haha. I can one up that. I went there for Indian Guides in the 80’s.

That was YMCA alternative to Boy Scouts. We were assigned a “tribe”, had nicknames, beat drums and dressed in headdresses and vests.

Looking back now, how insanely offensive.
