Do you get to decide its gender, too, or is the word allowed to self-identify?
An excellent question. I believe they would prefer to self-identify.
Follow-up: is this word present a common thing in your family? Have you gifted, or been gifted, words before?
No, this was a first. She said the word just came to her this morning and she wrote it on the envelope of my card. For 18 years, we've had a rule that gifts can only be $20. All other funds go to our children's gifts. It's made our gift giving unique, thoughtful, and special.- much the opposite to Harbinger's apparent disdain. I imagine the idea for this gift is from a scene in The Family Man. A movie we first saw before children and thought 'meah' then watched again when we had two small ones and understood the comedy with laser focus. 'Now your getting the hank of it' ends that scene. Which is funny to us as a couple as we mispronounce or misunderstand each other's native language cliches.
So I have a lofty task to add meaning to it. Of course I turned here for assistance.
When's her bday? You could hang on to the word and re-gift it.
maybe she's born with it, maybe it's chlorine
If you're injured and need some sympathy, PM me and I'm very happy to write back.
