The more I think about the whoop strap and specifically what it's missing, the more I think that Garmin (or one of the other large watch makers) is going to buy the business and integrate their metric tracking into their already existing watches. Does anyone else think this is going to happen?

Is it really that good of a product... or all the watches / rings maker could do something similar, on their own, for less??

Everyone I've talked to who uses one told me it doesn't really tell you anything you don't already know if you listen to your body. That said, it would be nice to have those features wrapped in a single watch

The website is fancy, and they've sponsored a lot of people, but none of the measurements it takes are certified on the device itself. They mention of course that HRV etc are proven to be helpful but nowhere do they show that their device is a certified provider of the information.
This could have changed in the last few months, but I remember it being mentioned by someone being interviewed on a triathlon podcast.
I was about to pull the trigger, but decided not to after failing to find any evidence the device it accurate / approved.
I'd be interested to hear if that's changed.

Trust me I’m a doctor!
Well, I have a PhD :-)

Form factor is the biggest issue.
Polar does a great job with recovery metrics, but I don't like sleeping with the watch on.
I don't even notice my whoop strap.

The above poster has eschewed traditional employment and is currently undertaking the ill-conceived task of launching his own hardgoods company. Statements are not made on behalf of nor reflective of anything in any manner... unless they're good, then they count.
