Oakley Radar EV Advanced vs. Oakley Jawbreaker vs Oakley Flight Jacket

Looking for opinions on the above sunglasses. I have worn my Oakley Radar for years and time for a new one.

Looking like I am most likely going with the Oakley Radar EV Advancer as the Jawbreaker and Flight Jacket may be too flashy for me

I'd pick the Flight Jacket as there is no frame on top.

I had some Jawbreakers, but found the look hard to pull off and was getting fogging issues (worse than the Jawbones I also own).

Tried the EVZeros, and these are now my go-tos. The frameless design allows for great vision (no frame at the top to block vision when in aero, no frame at the bottom to create a blind spot when look back for cars when merging) and no fogging. I have the path lenses; you can go with the "bolder" range lenses, or the more classic "blade" ones that hearken back to the early '90s.

I would go for the Flight Jackets as well, the no frame on top can be huge on the bike/nothing blocking sight like a frame. There is a ROKA GP-1X that is similar but haven't tried them & how they compare. I think the Oakley ones feel sort of heavy on the face personally, but you can (as I have in longer races) exchange them for a clean lighter weight pair at T2.
I am not seeing a rimless option from another big player Rudy Project at this time. Likely many others out there just not familiar with them since it has been a while since I got new shades (I currently have the RP Defender).

Someone on here may have a discount code for the Oakleys or some place that sells Oakleys if that is what you're looking at...clear vision unobstructed view in aero position...

I have the Flight Jackets and love them. They do have one big flaw and when shoulder checking your view can at times be obstructed by the lower frame. It's not the best and can be dangerous if you don't account for it. Outside of that I love them. If I was to look at something else it would be Roka or 100 Percent.

Yeah, I'm surprised that Oakley doesn't offer a no top no bottom frame.

The no frame one is the evzero the lightest for sure and also of course no frame top or bottom.

These look interesting. Not a bad looking shade but still a frame on the bottom but seemingly un-obstructing. What I'd like to see in a cycling shade is similar to the Flight Jacket, no full bottom frame but some kind of "bumper" at the temples, bottom & maybe center of the top, so that when and if you drop them off your forehead as we all seem to do at some time...the lenses are protected from scratching. The curvature of the lenses always hit first right over the eyeball area.

That's what I want. A scratch protected pair of shades that has a higher no-frame on top lens for aero position.

I have the Ev advancer and love them. I was in a similar spot and for me at least, the jawbreaker and flight jacket were just a little too flashy for my tastes and the ev advancers fit my face better.

Yep, these are my favorites for races - especially when you get to the run and just want something light. The only issue with these is you can't change the lenses when they inevitably chip and flake.

I have about ten pairs of Oakleys and the EVZeros are the pair I use the most. No frame obstructions with the best all round view, especially when in the aero position.

Another vote for EVZero's.
I have both photochromic and Prizm lenses and wear them for both cycling and running.
Why would you want a visible frame at the top or bottom if you don't need to?
I've never understood the desire for a thick chunky frame, my prescription glasses are also rimless with thin titanium arms.
