Very excited to "compete" in my 12 hour test tomorrow--can't believe there isn't more slow twitch involvement and interest....

may be the closest thing I get to a real test this year....

Yeah he told me--thanks! Good day so far. I'm not nearly as fast as you guys--I'm just puttering along at 20mph. 96 miles so far...5 more hours to go!

Have fun!

Agreed - really awesome event Jordan put together. It actually went by faster than I expected. I attribute it to the great group and camaraderie. That was the most time I've spent on the trainer in a single day, previous longest trainer ride was 5 hrs. I was definitely glad I had a couple extra pairs of fresh bibs on deck.

Congrats to everyone who rode yesterday and thanks for the company. Looks like at least 6 people are still going in the Eliminator challenge!

Due to a health emergency in my family, I had to pull out at the last moment. I still plan to EARN my jersey. I plan on riding in about ten days, solo. What advices do y'all have for me?

I'm out.

60 minutes is as much as I can do indoors before blowing my brains out of boredom. The longest I did was 1:20 and that was when discovering Alpe'd'Zwift for the first time. That was sorta exciting. Once. I can however ride outside for hours and hours.

Only activity I could do for 12 hours nonstop I can't do because fuel tanks are good for about a 5 hour flight at most before needing to land to refuel.

Here's my advice from this weekend:
--Wear two pairs of bike shorts
--Make sure you have anti-chafe cream - and plenty of changes of clothes
--Make sure you're using a set-up that won't run out of battery
--Have a place that you can lie down next your bike during the 20-minute breaks - especially once the sun goes down. And set an alarm for five minutes before the next lap starts
--Have some pick-me-ups reserved for late in the ride, when the going gets tough. Like caffeine, or favorite songs, or favorite foods
--Oh, and don't go out too fast, but that probably goes without saying...

Good luck!

Cheers,
Ginger
