I am selling a bike to a guy who wants to use PayPal credit. When he pays me (through friends and family), do I automatically get the cash into my PP account and can immediately transfer to checking? Thanks!

Yup. As the recipient it's all the same to you. They pay an extra fee to use credit but that doesn't affect your share at all either. Just the normal goods and services fee if you go that route.
