Mavic Mess (related to Diamondback's clearance or not?)
Even though Fredly said in the Andean thread that Mavic was owned by the same group as Diamondback, it seems that there is some question about that.

Mavic is in receivership in France, but it seems like knowing who the real owner is is quite the puzzle. What an odd situation.

While I don't feel comfortable sharing all the gossip and conjecture that I'm hearing about the Mavic situation, I can say that I am confident that this situation isn't related to the Diamondback tri-bike sale. The only real proof of this I can offer publicly is that the sale in question is exclusively limited to the Andean bike, and if there was anything more going on than Diamondback shuttering the Andean project, you'd see a lot more than the 50 or so Andean bikes/frames up on the blocks.

Having said that, we've sold about thirty five of those bikes so far, so Mavic-related or not, if you ever wanted to get an Andean this is your last chance!

It seems likely that M Sports is a wholly owned subsidiary of Regent. I'm sure one thing they are trying to do is protect the rest of their business from the French bankruptcy courts.
