Since I'm not currently commuting, I'm getting my coffee fix at home.
What is the best coffee for a french press?
If you grind your own beans, what setting are you using?

Since we never have guests over our coffee maker is gathering dust.

Helpful answer, I know.

I drink English Breakfast tea if that helps.

I use Eight O'Clock beans and use a medium grind. Inexpensive, no frills, and taste fine.

I have a single serve french press.

Until I went to England, it never occurred to me to put milk in tea. It was pretty good.

French press has always agitated my bowels. I read that a paper filter will filter some of the oils that cause these GI issues. Some/LOTS of people do fine with it, so this is just a PSA.

Starbucks french roast from Costco. Grind on the lowest setting, coarsest setting. I have been meaning to upgrade to a baratza grinder.

I don't have a single answer for you. However; I have this story. I once had a boss that loved staff meetings. To entice us, he'd make coffee with his french press. That was the best coffee EVER! If you figure it out (I never did) you are in for a real treat my friend.
