Numb toes/wrinkled sock syndrom
OK, I invented the term, but that's how my left foot feels (no link with the movie starring DDL).
I have this weird feeling of always having a wrinkled sock under my 3rd and 4th toe.
I have read that's an area where nerves are sensible to pressure, and some runners are developping problems like Morton's syndrom (edit: found out it's called Morton's neuroma) at that exact same spot. I don't have pain, but the feeling is very annoying, and almost permanent.
Anybody having these sensations ?
What is it caused by ?
My theory is : too tight shoes, the metatarsal joints compress the nerves and it eventually becomes "numb"...
Any way to correct this ? Some special orthotics with metatarsal button to "open" the toes and prevent too much compression ?
I'll go and see a podiatrist as well as the orthotics specialist to learn more about this...

I have that regularly and if i keep running the pain starts to come after the numbness. Doc said Mortons Neuroma Tired different shoes, insoles, etc which all adjusted my symptoms somewhat but never relieved it. Finally gave up and just suck it up. Doesn't start for me until after 6 miles or so, and often goes away after a couple more miles so I just suck it up.
