The updated Quintana Roo PRSix2 has been launched. Here are pictures of the new and old models, so you can see the difference:

Integrated hydration.

But that integrated hydration looks so ugly compared to e.g. Scott/Canyon (its not high enough), but there does not seem to be much space between tire and the box, is the bike so much "lower", as in the geometry looks so different.

Anything above the stem is just additional frontal area instead of already existing frontal area. Why would you want it higher? I think Canyon and Cube are too high. Scott is similar to the Aeria Ultimate in height

Not all differences in bikes upgrades/updates are visual. Check out 'https://quintanarootri.com/...products/prsix2-disc' for the details. Updates include integrated hydration, stiffer 11%, lighter 10% , integrated Di2 port, improved cable routing and a new bottom bracket. I ride a PRSix rim brake bike and love it. I am certainly tempted by this new update to jump to the disc brake version.

It's Profile Design Aeria. Literally just took the stem and hydration and slapped it on there. Lazy as all hell.

No, QR modified their stem to fit the HSF Aeria, they've been working towards that for a while as it makes the bike faster.
While the changes to the bike don't look super obvious there has been a lot of work to make subtle improvements

Who cares if it's heavier? I mean that doesn't matter at all unless you're doing a hill climb. How many triathlons go straight uphill? If they do why are you riding that bike?

Over the last 3d in the wind tunnel I did a ton of modeling. Increased weight 8-9kg.
A mere .002 increase in CdA causes a much, much greater increase in the amount of time you spend on the course

Did you miss the part above saying 11% lighter?

Is the frame 11% lighter, or the whole bike? The former seems more likely

The bike is only like 9-10kg? What would be considered light?

Which bikes in the price range are lighter and by how much?

Well that was what I was asking really 😂 I figured he knew some “light/heavy” benchmark for tri bikes off the top of his head. 10kg doesn’t seem heavy to me, even if there are equivalents at 8kg that’s only 4.5lbs difference. I just didn’t think Tri bikes were known for their lightness.

Agree.

Also the QR frame is pretty light compare to other similar frames. What makes it heavy?

I was confused
