Wide/stiff soled shoes to replace post op boot
Quote | Reply
Looking for suggestions for a wide shoe with a stiff sole. Just had Morton's Neuroma surgery and want to get out of this boot as fast as I can and the doc said if I can find a shoe that is easy to get on without bending my forefoot too much and has a stiff sole to keep flexing to a minimum I might be able to use that instead of the boot.

I have a pretty narrow foot and used to wearing neutral shoes. Just bought a pair of NB Lazr and they are wide in the forefoot but the upper does not allow me to slip it on easy. So where should I look? Hoka? NB? Any help would be great!

Brooks Dyad, NB 840 both spring to mind.
I'd also look at trail shoes as those tend to have a firmer durometer outsole and often a rock plate both of which may add some stiffness

Thanks! Never thought to look for trail shoes but that makes sense.
