I am in for the 100.
First year no idea what I am in for. I have a cheap heavy gravel bike compared to the light carbon road bike.
Will have the engine but will need tubeless tires and extra water carrying capacity on the bike?????

Seems many either wear a camelbak or have frame bag with water bladder there. I have a camelbak. One downside is it can get warm.

7 of us from Ontario got in which should be fun. I did the 100 last year and had a good ride with no mechanicals. Make sure to go tubeless and know how to put a tube in if you get a big gash. Go camelback with 2 bottles and you will be fine until the rest stop. Make sure you stay hydrated and keep up on nutrition is a must. It is not that bad if you ride within your limits and stay in front of your calories and fluid.

But i think the university is sold out already (for now)

Yes.

Dave - Keep checking back since things might open up. There’s also camping at the fairgrounds and I think this year they’re going to add even more spaces there. Worst comes to worst you could probably pitch a tent in my brother’s yard.

You might check these places:

https://cwfks.org/lodging/

There about 15 to 20 miles west of town and in fact some of them may actually be on the course depending what direction they go.

These are about 25 miles to the north.

Thank you very much. I tried to get in, but you were correct, it is sold out. I think that I found a place though.

I did not get in. Tried for the 200.

It sucks they are not allowing transfers this year. For a race of any distance, there are always people who can't make it to the start for one reason or another.

Looks like the only open option, for entry, is either the charity route or the DK Coaching plan entry? Anyone ever entered with the coaching option? It is expensive!!! I believe its $2000 for entry and 3 months of coaching.

I don't know if it's been explained why they are not allowing transfers.

There’s also the camp route. Or is that it sold too? It’s also expensive but maybe not as expensive as the coaching.

Hmmm, I did not know about that. I'll have to look it up. A camp would be fun

Apparently people were getting friends to do extra entries to ensure getting in and then transferring them to themselves. Also there was some talk about guys getting SOs to enter and transferring.

How much of this is true, I don't know, but lifetime are asserting their ownership.

I do recall that being mentioned. I wonder how big an issue it really was.
