Racermate Computrainer Tech Questions
Hello folks,

I have recently acquired a RacerMate Computrainer which is missing a number of key items ... basically everything except for the trainer mechanism itself. Since RacerMate is no more, is there anywhere else that I can get these parts? Failing that, is there anybody that has built something with Arduino or similar to replace the tech portion of the Computrainer? Is there documentation anywhere, or perhaps a service manual, that might detail the system?

Thanks in advance.

Glen

What are you missing? Most can be found on eBay. I have the manuals and everything still. Let me know what specifically you are looking for and I'll try to help.

I picked up a computrainer almost like this before. I ordered a 8-pin din cable for about $19 and USB cable for about $29 from eBay. You can also order the cadence sensor, too, but I find it overpriced unless you really want spinscan. The power supply is harder to find. I don't see any on eBay or doing a quick Google search. The handlebar controller can be $99 or more, too.

You can get the Racermate software and computrainer manual here:

Try putting a "want to buy ad" on the classifieds

Chances are someone out there has a broken unit you could get for parts.
