Carbon Fork Question
The earlier thread about upgrading to carbon fork and how much steerer tube is exposed got me thinking. Seems to me I read somewhere that when using a carbon steerer tube there is a limit to how much should be exposed from the headset, presumably due to rigidity or strength concerns. Is this correct? Is there really a risk that I could damage the tube if too much is sticking out?

One other question for any QR fork experts...my all carbon fork is badged QR and is an upgraded version that came with a '02 PicanTi. I have been trying to figure out what model it is. The blades are indented in on the outside and form a shallow "V" like shape on the inside (facing wheel). It is a straight bladed aero shaped fork. Does anyone know what model this is?

Thanks,
Mike
