I did stages and it does not communicate with my garmin forerunner 735.

The Quarq is built as a power meter. Shimano cranks aren't. I've put 15+ Shimano based L/R cranks through my test protocol this year alone, none I'd be happy to use as a 'known good source' to compare other meters.
I put one Quarq DZero DUB through the same protocol, it just worked. I'll happily use the Quarq as a reference power meter.
