Vector 3 Suggestions?
Sadly, I bought Vector 3 pedals.

Switched pedals to an older bike.

Pedals flash red “ The [/url]Vector system is active and working properly.”

Heh

Then they flash green 3 times

“ The pedal is searching for the other pedal”

They aren’t discoverable by edge 830 or by garmin connect on my phone

I put new batteries in just in case.

Any ideas?

I will call Garmin but they aren’t open now but I thought the board might have some ideas.

Did you put any sort of lubricant on the batteries and contact points after cleaning said points with alcohol?

I have a huge mileage set and just had this intermittent "broadcasting data" issue. Mine seem to be fixed 100% by doi g a few things. I can't kill these pedals.

Yes. Always...always use light oil.

Clean all contact points with alcohol swab. Thats inside the battery door and pedals.

Light coat of baby oil each side of each battery and swab a bit on all contact points.

Then don't overtighten battery doors :)

IIRC, Garmin has you turn Bluetooth off/on on the phone first, and then attempt manual pairing again (Garmin Connect > More > Garmin Devices > Add Device) by using the ID etched into the pedal. L/R pedals have unique IDs for each pedal, and L is supposed to be the master, so best start with that side.

call garmin. depending on how long your vectors were on the shelf for before you got them, there may have been some updates. they had to update the housing for the battery as the contacts weren't working and now recommend dabbing a bit of mineral oil on the batteries. I have the Vector 3s and that's what happened with me. they sent me a new housing for my pedal and it was fine.
