It’s winter project bike time, and I got around to thinking:
Inspired by the article on the Cervelo Aspero used for CX racing, where he used an eccentric BB to raise the cranks 7mm. I’m thinking about adding this to my TT bike to LOWER the BB 7mm. This would then allow me to drop the saddle and front end, overall brining me lower to the ground improving aero (maybe) and overall center of gravity (maybe).
What do you think? Pointless, or possibly worthwhile? FWIW, my bike currently has 72mm BB drop and I’m running 165mm cranks. It would get me to 79mm of BB drop - the lowest frame I’ve seen is the Speed Concept at 80mm.
